In a continued series of slightly spooky October public service literary announcements, I present the work "The Ghost with the Halloween Hiccups", originally published in the year 1977. A good year for some things.
This is written by Stephen Mooser, who is now president of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, and illustrated by the famous Tomie DePaola, and comes highly recommended, for its humor, story, and love of all things Halloween. It holds up to 2008 standards exceedingly well, also, and does not seem dated at all. I'm so glad the local librarian put this one out on display.
