So, I've been volunteering at my local Obama office, I've been giving money to the campaign, I've been talking to anyone who will listen, but I'm so jazzed about this candidacy I feel like I keep having to do more.Basically, I just can't keep still about it, it all seems so crucial, and inspiring, this time around. This has never happened to me in regards to a national election before, and I certainly have never volunteered at any candidate's office before. Not that I didn't think it was important, I just never felt fully compelled to before. I realize that obsessing over CNN's Interactive Electoral College Map can only take me so far, and paying attention to the multi-hourly polls is just a waste of my time and sanity. It also hurts my eyes. A lot.
So, here's another one of the small/not so small? things I'm checking off of my Election 2008 To-Do-List. Enter the "America for Obama" Tee-Shirt, available right here, with proceeds going right back to the Obama-Biden Campaign!
This tee is totally customizable, as far as style, color, brand, gender, material, etc., and is created, printed, and shipped on-demand, within 24 hours of ordering. This is not meant to supplant any "official" merchandise you may get from here, only supplement it, and it gave me an excuse to not be so jittery about the constant deluge of polls, pundits, and map scenarios, and actually do something. I mean, if you're deciding to buy this, or donate money here, for heaven's sake, donate here first. Just get involved. Yes, I know it sounds like a bad public service announcement, but get involved anyway. It really helps ward off the bitterness-bugs, as well as those pesky helplessness-in-the-political-process bugs. And I know I really don't have to remind anyone to vote. And make sure they're registered. Right? Right.
The original painting will also be sold/auctioned off, as well, with details to come. You couldn't find a happier America than this one, folks.
I totally approve this message, in case you were wondering.
