New Number One

Show's over, kids: I just finished reading my new, (current) all-time favorite book: John Bellairs' "The House with a Clock in Its Walls"!

Sweet night, why hadn't I ever heard of this book before? I knew of Bellairs, but until I saw this piled on top of a stack of give-away books in a cardboard box on the curb, I never knew what I missed as a 12-year-old! There's even some sorta-kinda family ties that I have with Bellairs, but I just had no idea about this book series. It's even illustrated by Edward Gorey, for cryin' out loud!

Anyway, it's crazy nice to find something like that. Keep sharing books, I guess, would be a good lesson, and thanks to the book box folks for including this one. The cover is by Bart Goldman.

Now I've got to read all four...
